This award, proposed by Monsignor Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, is granted to Israeli and Palestinian mothers who lost one or more members of their family because of the ongoing war and do not seek revenge, wishing to commit themselves for peace and a better future.

Fondata il 21 maggio 1948 l’Organisation Nationale de l’Enfance Tunisienne ha consentito a migliaia di ragazzi tunisini, specialmente appartenenti a famiglie povere, di beneficiare di sostegno e di attività ricreative durante tutto l’anno.
Iniziatrice di Consigli Municipali per l’Infanzia e promotrice dll’istituzione del Parlamento dell’Infanzia in Tunisia l’ONET ha tessuto legami di amicizia con varie associazioni per l’infanzia, la gioventù e la cultura di Paesi mediterranei ed europei.
Membro del Consiglio economico e sociale delle Nazioni Unite l’ONET difende i diritti dell’infanzia nell’ambito delle istanze nazionali ed internazionali.

For her action in defence of children’s rights and, in general, for her commitment in favour of abandoned children. President of the Observatoire National des Droits de l’Enfant (ONDE) and reference point for UNICEF both in Morocco and across the World, she has made every effort for children’s education, saying that “it is not quite important which kind of world we are leaving to our children, but rather which children we are leaving to this world”.
