Umberto Ranieri, President of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies, awarded H.E. Abdelwahad Radi, President of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly and President of the Parliamentary Assembly of Morocco the Mediterranean Award "Silver Dolphin" 2007 and the title of "Ambassador of the United States of the World" with the following grounds: “Guardian of Democracy, he devoted all his life to the creation of a new humanism with the aim of changing the Mediterranean, through the promotion of dialogue, into a democratic area of mutual respect".

On January 4th 2004, took place in Naples the 9th edition of the Epiphany Concert, which marked the conclusion of Christmas Holidays, re-launching the usual message of peace and joy, resorting once again to the music as a tool to overcome any barrier of race, culture and religion in the sign of universal brotherhood.

On that occasion, was held the Ceremony for the Mediterranean Awards 2004 in the respective cathegories.
The Mediterranean Award "Silver Dolphin" has been assigned to the memory of the famous Spanish writer Manuel Vazquez Montalban.

On Saturday 21st January, the Fondazione Mediterraneo awarded the Neapolitan master Rino Volpe the "Mediterranean Award Art and Creativity" 2006, during the ceremony held in the Vesuvio Room of the Maison de la Méditerranée, in the presence of many representative of the Mediterranean Countries, members of the BJCEM General Assembly.

The prize was awarded by Hon. Claudio Azzolini. The award was realized with the support of the book-publisher Ottavio Fabbri.

The event took place with the patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic and with the sponsorship of the Papal Council for Culture and the Academy of the Mediterranean. The event was recorded and broadcasted by Rai Uno during the Epiphany concert, as well as on Rai International and Sat 2000: it was also followed on Radio Kiss Kiss network
of Naples.

At such a difficult moment for the relations between Palestinians and Israelis, the Mediterranean Award "Art and Creativity – instituted some years ago by the Mediterranean Laboratory Foundation – is awarded to the artists Noa, Israeli, and Nabil, Palestinian, by Michele Capasso, President of the Foundation, by the President of the Province of Lecce Lorenzo Ria and by the Ambassadors of Israel and Palestine to Italy.

During the XII Edition of the Epiphany Concert, held at the Auditorium Rai of Naples on January the 4th, the Mediterranean Award of Culture 2007 was assigned to the Italian Institution for the Philosophical Studies and to its founder Gerardo Marotta.

The Award was delivered by President Capasso who has announced the carrying out of the Official Ceremony on February 2007.
