During his speech at the seminar, Dr. Granara - Coordinator of the Euro-Mediterranean policies of the MFA - thanked the organizers for their adherence to RIDE non-profit organization, remembering that this new organization, co-founded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, September 12, 2013, is about to hold its first general meeting in programmatic next few weeks to come up with new proposals for activities on the floor of the euro-Mediterranean intercultural Dialogue.
His first important commitment is to the development of the program of the day celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Anna Lindh Foundation, which will be held in Naples in October, under the Italian Presidency of the European Union.

From 21-24 November 2013, the XIIth Meeting of Heads of the ALF National Networks was held in Vilnius. As Head of the Italian Network, President Capasso participated for the Fondazione Mediterraneo while Elisa Adornopresented the Istituto Paralleli del Nord Ovest

At this event, the following themes were discussed.

  • Objectives and Strategies 2014-2015
  • Budget 2014
  • Development of Networks
  • The  ALF+ 10 events in Naples

Among others, the members discussed the Arab Spring and the role that the National Networks can play. President Michele Capasso suggested developing joint actions to valorize immigrants to give greater visibility to young people on the south shore of the Mediterranean and events in Naples ALF+10.

Previous Meetings

Took place in Lisbon, under the presidency of André Azoulay, Anna Lindh Foundation Consultative Assembly  (ALF).
The discussed topics were Foundation and its activities for the next ten years. The president Michele Capasso in his intervention highlighted the RIDE’s as model of good practices  and talked about the necessity to give to ALF its institutional dignity, and proposed to held in Naples in occasion of EU Italian Semester Presidency (2014), an important event in occasion of tenth Alf anniversary. The Consultative Assembly supported this proposal.
