TOTEM FOR PEACE

The "Totem for Peace" is a trademark duly filed in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, any initiatives undertaken by third parties using that trademark or the word "Totem for Peace" in any context and for whatever purpose, it integrates to all intents and purposes the case of trademark infringement.

The "Totem of Peace", the work of the Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, is the symbol of the "United States of the World" and represents the Peace: it was chosen in 1997 by 3,000 representatives of 181 countries and since then the "United States of the World" with the "Fondazione Mediterraneo" are spreading this universal symbol by setting up the network of "Cities for Peace".
The sculptor Mario Molinari was an artist of clear fame, sensitive to the themes of peace and dialogue between cultures, as evidenced by his numerous works and his life.
The cultural project of the "Totem of Peace" is carried out in the world by Michele Capasso: dedicated, since 1987, to the construction of dialogue as a tool for the mediation of conflicts, he combines his international experience of social and intercultural planning and planning with the professional one of architect and engineer.
Many countries have created the monumental work symbolising peace and coexistence between different peoples. Among the main ones are:

The president, Michele Capasso presented the project “Totem for Peace” - symbol of the "United States of the World" - in the occasion of the international meeting "Territorial knowledge and regional development for businesses. Compared international experiences". The adhesions of the cities of Brasilia, Honolulu, Hanoi, Buenos Aires and Shangai, which all manifested enthusiasm for this peace initiative, was immediate.
On this occasion, the titles of "Standard Bearers of the United States of the World" were presented to young entrepreneurs from various countries.

The Secretary General of the Union of Arab Maghreb, Habib Ben Yahia, Benita Ferrero-Waldner and the Director General of the European Institute of the Mediterranean, Senen Florensa, adopt the message of the “Totem for Peace” by the sculptor Molinari at the end of the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of the Euromediterranean Partnership and the Euromesco Conference.

Mario Molinari’ s red sail becomes an occasion of rapprochement for Israelis and Palestinians.
For the first time, during the inauguration of the Totem for Peace in Rabat, the Delegations of Israeli and Palestinian Parliaments met to deepen the strategies aiming at ensuring peace in that troubled region.

The President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Abdelwahad Radi received from Jacopo Molinari and Alessandra Pertusati the book on the work of Mario Molinari: sculptor of colour and author of the Totem for Peace.

"I warmly thank for this precious present - President Radi said - which is evidence of the monumental work of a great sculptor who was able to represent plastically the values of friendship, joy, fraternity and peace".

Jacopo Molinari thanked, stressing the particular importance of the words of President Radi on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the sculptor’s death.
