Federation Anna Lindh Italia || Onlus

 

The Federazione Anna Lindh Italia, not-for-profit, shares the aims of the Anna Lindh Foundation: created in 2004 by the European Commission together with the 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The Federation's objective is to promote, support and implement the cultural and social interaction between Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean countries in various fields of action including: art, architecture, archaeology, environment, crafts, youth, women, human rights, migrants, crafts, employment, training, education, education, childhood, sports, interreligious dialogue, legality, music, food culture, empowerment, tradition, tourism, social solidarity, exchanges.
In particular, the Federation intends to implement initiatives in favour of young people, especially aimed at restoring their hope and confidence through the promotion of the "true",the "beautiful" and the "good”

The President on. the RIDE, Michele Capasso, met in Palermo, the regional councilor energy Salvatore Calleri. During a meeting, were presented the excellence of RIDE with regard to the issue of green energy, waste treatment and sustainable development.
The President also met with the Capasso CESIE Vito La Fata and other members of RIDE - Sicily.

It svolgerranno in Naples, at the Museum MAMT, the celebratory events for the tenth anniversary of the Foundation "Anna Lindh" Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures. On this occasion will gather all the organs of the institution commissioned by the European Union and the 43 Euro-Mediterranean countries.

It took place in Gaeta, part of the Yacht Med Festival, the thirteenth edition of the "CONCERT FOR THE EURO-MEDITERRANEAN DIALOGUE BETWEEN CULTURES: SOUNDS OF PEACE", in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Latin America, the European Union and the RIDE - Italian Network for Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue.
On this occasion, Eugenio Bennato, Pietra Montecorvino and the Tunisian M'Barka Ben Taleb suggested contamination of Mediterranean music that involved the audience.
The Concerto is dedicated to the "TOTEM OF PEACE": the monumental work of the sculptor Mario Molinari that match right from Gaeta in 2010, is spreading throughout the world.
For the Fondazione Mediterraneo intervened Simone Pedrelli Carpiche with the President of the CCIIA Latina Zottola, recalled the significance of the Totem of Peace.

It was held at the Egyptian Academy in Rome, the International Congress "Cultural Diplomacy in the Mediterranean Region", co-organized with the "RIDE - Italian Network for the Mediterranean Dialogue euro-mediterraneo represented at the event by Enrico Granara, Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari.
During his speech, the Min.Pl. Enrico Granara stressed the importance of cultural diplomacy and illustrated the role of the RIDE program and events in Naples in October 2014 on the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the EU.

Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), received the Mediterranean Award for Diplomacy 2014 from the Fondazione Mediterraneo at a ceremony held in the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Hall at the ECSSR Office Complex in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, 27 April 2014. Esteemed members of the scientific, cultural, political and diplomatic communities as well as Fondazione Mediterraneo senior officials attended the ceremony. The award was conferred on H.E. Dr. Jamal Al-Suwaidi in recognition of his efforts and contributions toward bringing nations closer and promoting the concept of cultural diplomacy based on knowledge and thought.

The award, which consists of a work of art, Totem of Peace, by Italian sculptor Mario Molinari, was presented to H.E. Dr. Jamal Al-Suwaidi by the son of the sculptor Jacopo Molinari in the presence of Prof. Michele Capasso, President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and of Italian Ambassador in Abu Dhabi Giorgio Starace.

Prof. Michele Capasso, President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo, remarked that conferring the Mediterranean Award for Diplomacy 2014 on H.E. Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi reflects recognition of the role of the UAE in promoting global peace and encouraging dialog between cultures and civilizations. He pointed out that the UAE has become a key player in ensuring global peace through its policies, which stress the importance of giving, co-existence, and sharing with others.
The Mediterranean Prize is awarded in collaboration with relevant international organizations and with the RIDE - Italian Network for the Dialogue between Cultures.
