The Federazione Anna Lindh Italia, not-for-profit, shares the aims of the Anna Lindh Foundation: created in 2004 by the European Commission together with the 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The Federation's objective is to promote, support and implement the cultural and social interaction between Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean countries in various fields of action including: art, architecture, archaeology, environment, crafts, youth, women, human rights, migrants, crafts, employment, training, education, education, childhood, sports, interreligious dialogue, legality, music, food culture, empowerment, tradition, tourism, social solidarity, exchanges.
In particular, the Federation intends to implement initiatives in favour of young people, especially aimed at restoring their hope and confidence through the promotion of the "true",the "beautiful" and the "good”.

The EuroMeSCo annual conference “Changing Euro-Mediterranean Lenses” brought together over 160 researchers, decision-makers, academics and representatives of civil society from 25 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean area to challenge some ideas that underpin Euro-Mediterranean relations.
In Euro-Mediterranean fora indeed, the focus is often on the state of the South and Southeast part of the Mediterranean and its impact on the European Union. In turn, this conference focused on how recent developments in Europe affect the southern shore of the Mediterranean and more generally Euro-Mediterranean relations. Similarly, Euro-Mediterranean policies are too often understood as policies of the European Union towards the Southern Mediterranean.
Therefore, this conference also looked at policies and strategies developed by southern Mediterranean countries vis-à-vis the EU and other partners.
The conference was co-organized by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and the OCP Policy Center.
The Fondazione Mediterraneo, co-founder of the network, and the Federazione Anna Lindh Italy took part in the work.

On June 29, 2018, in Naples, the MUSEUM OF PEACE - MAMT (Mediterranean, Art, Architecture, Archeology, Environment, Music, Migrations, Traditions, Tourism), celebrates the second year of activity: ten thousand visitors from 140 countries of the world fascinated from a space created by the MEDITERRANEAN FOUNDATION, for almost 30 years committed to dialogue and peace in the Mediterranean and the world.
The Museum - located in the historic building of the former "Grand Hotel de Londres" in Piazza Municipio, in the heart of Naples, a few steps from the metro station designed by Alvaro Siza and the cruise port - is a "home" to welcome and excite: in the 5 floors we are told what has united and unites the peoples of the Mediterranean and the World: Music, Science, Art, Creativity, Craftsmanship, Solidarity, Traditions, Costumes, Food, Destiny…
Here you can immerse yourself in the 20 emotional journeys dedicated to important topics such as Migration, Interreligious Dialogue, Music, Stories of Peace, Legality and then the World Salesian Oratory, Ancient Egypt, the Cribs, the City of dialogue: all guided by over 5.000 high-definition videos (4k) and objects, artifacts and testimonies unique in the world that have helped define the Museum "emotional heritage of humanity" and give it the title of "Museum of Emotions".
Through a unique system in the world, located on the 5 floors of the building, and with the help of 107 large videowalls you can immerse yourself in thousands of videos with music by Pino Daniele: the "PINO DANIELE" section is dedicated to the great "musician ALIVE".
The success of this initiative is testified not only by the numbers but by the testimonies of most of the visitors, excited and involved in a welcoming home that the greatest communicators of the world have called "Chaos and wonder".
The project of the Peace Museum was founded in 1997, when President Michele Capasso appealed to over 2,000 representatives from 36 countries on the need to give peace a space where to tell a different story from what is proposed daily by the media (terrorism, migrants) that they die, corruption, poverty, wars, etc.): in short, the HISTORY OF BEAUTY, TRUE AND GOOD to give back hope to young people and make them once again POSITIVE HUNTERS and FUTURE MANUFACTURERS.

President Michele Capasso participated in the county presentation "Tunisia, a platform between Europe and Africa" held at the Naples Chamber of Commerce.
In a cordial meeting with the Consul Beya Benabdelbaki and the Councilor for the City of Naples Alessandra Sardu, President Capasso recalled the old ties with Tunisia and the many presentations held at the headquarters of the Foundation and the Peace Museum – MAMT.

The President Michele Capasso spoke at the Council and the Assembly of ALIS - Association for Logistics and Sustainable Intermodality - held in Rome at the headquarters of the association.
On this occasion Capasso recalled the commitment of the Fondazione Mediterraneo since 1989 for the motorways of the sea and sustainable intermodality as an essential tool for peace, cooperation and shared development: in short, a fundamental action to form a coalition of shared values and interests on which to base the growth and development of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
"Bringing Italy back to the center of the great European investments that see the Mediterranean as the last positive protagonist of our economy, also increasing commercial traffic with the economic realities of North Africa".
This is one of the strategic lines expressed by the vice-minister and undersecretary at the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport Edoardo Rixi who spoke in Rome at the assembly of ALIS members, chaired by dr. Guido Grimaldi.
"We must have a strong and aggressive line - continued Undersecretary Rixi - on an international scale that shows the route of investment in the Mare Nostrum. Europe today exerts its interests almost exclusively on economies that involve commercial traffic in the north of the continent, often exploiting exclusively the North Sea routes ".
“Our country has an obvious geographical advantage in being a peninsula. We must also translate this into an economic advantage by exploiting the lines of the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The ALIS through its 1.300 member companies, under the hat of intermodal transport, is a valuable interlocutor to make Italy return to be an excellence, because only by making the system can you get flattering results. And the Government is certainly available and next to the business world when, in reality like these - concluded Edoardo Rixi - you are able to make operational proposals that take environmental sustainability into account ".
ALIS President Guido Grimaldi said he was "proud of the Government's interest in the realities expressed by the association" and shared commitment and strategies with Undersecretary Edoardo Rixi.
"The priority - said Grimaldi - is the internationalization of our economy, also aiming to give new impetus to the development of the South as a real added value of the Italian system. And our association was born with the aim of creating a system. With this in mind at the beginning of September I will also meet with the European Transport Commissioner VioletaBulc to discuss the main issues affecting the world of intermodal transport in Europe and the role that Italy must play in this scenario ".
At the conclusion of the meeting the President of ALIS Guido Grimaldi handed over to the Deputy Minister EdoardoRixi a program document of the association.
The Undersecretary for the Presidency of the Council for the “Mezzogiorno” Pina Castiello who underlined the importance of logistics and sustainable intermodality for the South of Italy and for the ports of the South.
