The General Manager of the Community Service National Bureau Leonzio Borea received the title of "Peace Keeper" during the opening session of the first International Peace Workshop, hosted by the Fondazione Mediterraneo from 15th through 17th October.

The titles of "Peace Keeper" are attributed to all those who work for the realisation across the world of the Totems for Peace, created by the sculptor Mario Molinari.

On 14th October was held in Rome, at the Farnesina, the Press Conference introducing the International Peace Workshop, action organized by the Fondazione Mediterraneo with the Maison de la Paix – Casa Universale delle Culture, together with "Anna Lindh" Euro-Mediterranean Foundation and ARCI, in association with the movement Combatants for Peace and with the National Coordination of Local Communities for Peace and Human Rights.

The Fondazione Mediterraneo has collaborated to the Jaguar Meeting for Peace – At the Foot of Vesuvius. President Michele Capasso and Mr. Leonzio Borea, Head of the Community Service National Bureau, inaugurated the Meeting for Peace, placing the Totem for Peace, by the sculptor Mario Molinari, on the unique prototype of the first Jaguar of 1934.

The President of Jaguar Italia Daniele Maver said: "Jaguar supports the "Totem for Peace" because it represents the universal symbol of dialogue and of mutual respect".

The awarding ceremony for the Mediterranean Awards 2010 took place on the 13th of June 2010 at the Theatre of San Carlo in Naples.
The "Mediterranean Award for Inter-religious Dialogue" and the title of "Ambassador of the United States of the World" was given to H.B. Archibishop Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, who, being unable to be present, sent a video to thank in which he underlined that "We need Peace. Especially in these hard times we need Peace: our children, our mothers, our families are worthy a present and a future made of serenity in which they can live and grow".
