On the occasion of the World Peace Forum that will take place in Naples in 2019, the Mediterranean Foundation announces at the same time the development of the XIIth Edition of the "Concert for Peace". Artists from various countries will participate, as happened in 2010 for the San Carlo Theater Concert.

The president of Turkey Recep Tayyp Erdoğan is visiting Rome for a single day: with his wife, daughter and some ministers.He met Pope Francis, President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and some entrepreneurs operating in Turkey. Contrasting evaluations between protests, hopes and exceptional security measures. On the carpet the usual problems: human rights, war with the Kurds contrast to the secularity state and a long list. "A long series of missed opportunities - comments the president of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, who has had numerous meetings with President Erdoğan since 2005 - that could have affected the process of our history. When President Erdoğan came to Naples at the headquarters of our Foundation in September 2005 (accompanied by many ministers and in the presence of the highest representatives of the European institutions) he asked the Foundation for a quick acceptance of Turkey to the European Union.On that occasion we listed a series of priorities and detailed the things to do: starting from human rights, from women, from the respect of different cultures and others, for a list of 20 points contained in our program "Great Mediterranean" that the same Erdoğan, then, appreciate (watch to the interview at “IL MATTINO”). None of those recommendations was then implemented. At the conclusion of that meeting and in others held in the following years until 2015, we warned President Erdoğan to the risk of an authoritarian drift that could overturn the democratic process and Turkey's accession to the EU. The facts of the last few years have proved us right ".
The Fondazione Mediterraneo has collaborated and hosted the perfection course "Nutrition, Beauty and Wellness" at the Museum of Peace - MAMT. Presided by the proff. B. Guida and L. Scaramuzzino the course was held under the scientific direction of Dr. Adriana Carotenuto and saw interventions by multidisciplinary specialists who enriched the contents with precise presentations visible in the links below.
On the occasion of the Celebration dedicated to St. John Bosco, numerous initiatives were held at the Museum of Peace: meetings of young people, visit to the “ emotional paths dedicated” to Don Bosco, common prayers in the Chapel with the relics of Don Bosco. On this occasion Don Mario Maritano (SDB) officiated a celebration with a moment of prayer and reflection on the work of Don Bosco for the young people.
On the occasion of the Celebration of San Giovanni Bosco, took place, at the oratory of the Santa Maria Mazzarello Institute in Torre Annunziata, the inauguration of the work "Totem della Pace" by the Molinari sculptor. After the greetings of the director of the institute Suor Marianna,of the southern vice-director SuorCarlaandof the person in charge of the oratory Sister Angela, have participated the president of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, the person in charge of the "Totem della Pace" project Pia Molinari, the mayor of Torre Annuziata Enzo Ascione and the priests Don Franco and Don Mario. In particular, President Capasso underlined the importance of the "Hands of Peace" reproduced by the boys and girls of the Oratory: a COMMITMENT to be builders of peace that since childhood must involve children so that they grow up with a totality of values capable of countering the adversities and the evil of life.
