AT MUSEUM OF PEACE WITH THE YOUNG VOLUNTEERS OF CIVIL SERVICE

Moments of great emotion at Museo della Pace – MAMT with the volunteers of Civil Service assigned  to the institute of “Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice”.
They visited the Museum and viewed the emotional video dedicated especially to the young people.
The visit ended with “motto” of the Museum: “ WE WANT TO LIVE IN CLOURS AND WITH THE HEART OF DON BOSCO AND MADRE MAZZARELLO”.

MARIO MARITANO RECEIVES THE "MEDITERRANEAN AWARD FOR INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE"

The assessor  of the culture  department of the municipality of Naples dott. Gaetano Daniele, gave to the prof. Mario Maitano ( Pontifical Salesian Universities) the Totem of peace sculpted by Mario Molinari, wich rapresents the “ MEDITERRANIAN PRIZE FOR THE INTERFAITH DIALOGUE 2017”.
The poets of 5 continents subscribed to the Association “ Poeti per la pace” honoured Don Mario Maritano.

IN MEMORY OF L. RON HUBBARD THE “MEDITERRANIAN AWARD FOR POETRY”

The assessor of the culture department of municipality of Naples, dott. Gaetano Daniele, gave to Renato Ongania, general manager of Italian representative office of  “Friends of L. Ronn Hubbard”  International Foundation, located in Los Angeles, the “ Mediterranian Award for Poetry”  for the contribution offert to the arts and, especially, to the Poetry for the promotion of a culture of peace.
The attendees signed the “ Declaration of Peace” (lyric by Hubbard).

AT MUSEUM OF PEACE – MAMT POETRIES FROM 5 CONTINENTS

At the Museo della Pace was held a special international poetical reading  with lyrics for peace from  5 continents, recited by Edoardo Elisei, artistic manager of “Poeti per la Pace”.
Between the others, prof. don Mario Maritano, from  Tehology Department of Pontifical Salesian University in Rome, and museum manager dott. Maria Pia Balducci Molinari attended  the event. 
The intervention of the president Michele Capasso, president of Fondazione Mediterraneo, was very moved , he underlined the importance of “staying together “ to “build” and, especially, to “keep” the peace, explaining the committment of the foundation and the numerous cultural activities carried out in the last 30 years.
The assessore of Culture and Tourism of the municipality of Neaples talked about “anguish for peace” and the importance of poetry as a medium of social rebirth. After reminding the warning of Pope Francis about the current World War Three, dott. Daniele lay claimed the role of the city of Neaples in his potery, mentioning the poetry “La Ginestra” by Leopardi, written on the slope of Vesuvius.
Vincenzo De Lucia, vice President of “Poets for Peace”, has declared: “ Our times are still characterised by bloody conflicts, threats of war and millions of dollars spent on weapons. But this innate human vocation to work hard on social activities and mercy, make us realize that the desire of peace can not be invoked as a right. It is, maybe, first of all, a social commitment, a duty”.
The consuls of Czech Republic, Iceland and Norway joined to the message, in addition to mayor Lumbini (Nepal), home town of Buddha.

OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

During the visit of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella in Naples – on the accasion of 230° Anniversary of “ Nunziatella Military School” – the members of Rete Italiana of FAL issued on daily “ La Republica” an OPEN LETTER so that the democracy, the respect and transparency are ensured by  the MAECI in the management  of the Rete Italiana.
On this occasion  Fondazione Mediterraneo, leader elected by the Rete, recalled the activities conducted by the members and the bond with Nunziatella Military School which elected the Foundation “ first Friend of Nunziatella”

ASSIGNED TO MOTHER YVONNE REUNGOAT THE “MEDITERRANEAN AWARD FOR PEACE”

Mother Yvonne Reungoat general Superior of the institute Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice – Salesians of  Don Bosco, received the “Mediterranean Award for Peace”, consisting in the work of the sculptor Mario Molinari Totem of Peace”, during a ceremony held at “ Museum of Peace – MAMT”: the prize is considered among the most important internationally, the prize of “ Fondazione Mediterraneo”  has been awarded in previous editions to influential personality as much as King Juan Carlos of Spain, King Hussein of Jordan, the presidents Anibal Cavaco Silva and Abu Mazen, Leah Rabin, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Fouad Twal, Nobel Prizes Shirine Ebadi and Naguib Mahfouz,  Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, Cardinal Roger Etchegaray, and others.
On this occasion, international juries also awarded the title "Ambassador of the United States of the World".
The prize has been delivered by President Michele Capasso, Pia Molinari and the delegate of migrants Fallou.
In the reasons we can read:
“For the activities in favor of Peace and Concord among the Populations of the world conducted to the guide of Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice ( FMA), especially where raging war and poverty. Exactly in these places, often, FMA rapresent the only anchor for men and women of different faiths. Mother Yvonne Reungoat thanks to her missionary experience, in the poorer places of African continent, is aware of the joy and simplicity in helping others and in feeling “ Family”. A  place where, thank to the charisma of Don Bosco and to the model of Mother Mazzarello, is possible , everyday, give space to that “ Creativity of Love” which represent the instrument of salesian charisma; with humility and complicity and the hope in  youth, authors of our future.”

INAUGURATION OF THE ROOM DEDICATED TO “ SANTA MARIA DOMENICA MAZZARELLO”

In presence of general Superiora of the institute of Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice (FMA), Mother Yvonne Reungoat, accompanied by the Inspector Suor Maria Rosaria Tagliaferri and proponents of Southern Province of FMA ( coming from southern Italy, Albania and Malta) took place the solemn ceremony of blessing room dedicated to Saint Maria Domenica Mazzarello, founder of FMA, at the Museum of Peace – MAMT.
Don Mario Maritano, SDB, preside over the ceremony of blessing.
Madre Yvonne said words of appreciation for Fondazione Mediterraneo and president Capasso for the room which completing the Salesian family, beside the presence of Don Bosco at the Museum of Peace. Here, indeed, will be usable video, testimonies and documents of the FMA’s institute, present in 93 countries of the world.

DEPOSITION OF THE RELIC OF “SANTA MARIA DOMENICA MAZZARELLO” IN THE CHAPEL DON BOSCO OF THE MUSEUM OF PEACE - MAMT

In the presence of general Superiora of the institute of Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice (FMA), Mother Yvonne Reungoat, accompanied by the Inspector Suor Maria Rosaria Tagliaferri and proponents of Southern Province of FMA ( coming from southern Italy, Albania and Malta) was held the solemn ceremony in which the Relic of Santa Maria Domenica Mazzarello, founder of FMA, has been  deposited inside the Chapel of Don Bosco of the Musuem of Peace – MAMT. .
Mother Yvonne dedicated words of appreciation about Fondazione Mediterraneo and for its President Capasso for the uncommon dedication – with some mystic features- in favor of interreligious dialogue and peace.
Inside the Chapel dedicated to Don Bosco it’s now present a painting of Madre Mazzarello, Her relic and others objects.
A moment of deep spirituality with the nuns of FMA that, between songs and prayers, accompanied the ceremony.

MOTHER YVONNE REUNGOAT VISITING THE MUSEUM OF PEACE - MAMT

The general Superiora of the institute of Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice (FMA), Mother Yvonne Reungoat, accompanied by the Inspector Suor Maria Rosaria Tagliaferri and proponents of Southern Province of FMA ( coming from southern Italy, Albania and Malta) visited the Museum of Peace – MAMT, welcomed by the president Michele Capasso together with the manager Maria Pia Balducci Molinari.
Mother  Yvonne expressed astonishment and appreciation for a “ unique location which did not imagine the dimentions and the world’s level meaning”
The tour to dedicate sections “ Molinari, sculptor of colors”, “ Voices of Migrant”, “ Mother Teresa di Calcutta”, “ Don Diana”, “Raffaele Capasso” have been especially touching and also the section dedicated to the arabs artists women “ Tearing up the veils”.
A lot of a emotions inside the Mosque, inside the Synagogue and in the rooms dedicated to San Giovanni Paolo ll and San Pio from Petralcina.
