“We are very happy to donate to MAMT Museum the sacre vestments, Gospels and other objects in order to reproduce the room of Don Peppe Diana in MAMT museum”. This words were said by Don Peppe Diana’s mother Jolanda along with her daughters Emilio e Marisa to Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari, person in charge of MAMT museum. Thanks to these gifts the Hall dedicated to Peppe Diana got a new appeal making the visitors able to capture the emotional life of this borderline priest, example of a life dedicated to the Common Good.

A delegation from T.A. R., Tribunale Amministrativo Regionale (Campania Administrative Court), visited MAMT Museum praising it and expressing admiration for the collections, video and proofs present in the Museum.
The President Antonio Guida thanked President Capasso for his support to Naples and the Mediterranean, of which the MAMT museum is a testify.

PINO DANIELE VISITS MAMT MUSEUM FOR THE PROJECTS OF MUSIC HALL AND CONCERT OF PEACE

Received by Michele Capasso and  Pia Molinari, Pino Daniele – with his son Alessandro and his partner Amanda visited the Fondazione’s headquarter  and MAMT museum, plaused the initiative and appreciated especially the music section. In particular, it has been talked about two projects in progress for a while.

  1. MAMT Museum Music Hall (among the most acoustically perfect) to be dedicated to Pino Daniele: with an interactive multimedia system which reproduces all his songs and concerts beside the contributions of big artists whom had accompanied him it, will be possible to enjoy of a music section unique in its kind. It had been decided the realization time by time of workshops and “thematic” exibitions: between the first topics of a  deep study  about Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa “ one of the great musicians of all the times” declared Pino.
  2. The organization, every year in Naples, of “CONCERT OF PEACE”, a big musical event which will set aside the world’s big events.

Tender and nice the comment made by Pino about his friend Michele– defined as a “personaggio” – when he is singing “Cammina, cammina…”

THEFT AT FONDAZIONE AND AT MAMT MUSEUM

Unknown thiefs, destroying surveillance systems and access doors, entered in the headquarters of  Fondazione  and MAMT museum stealing computer and Museums artworks, especially nativity scene’s statues.

“A sad event- declared  president Capasso –happened just when Fondazione Mediterraneo had celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary of activities in support of world’s peace and solidarity. We can proudly present a balance rich of concrete results, as the UNESCO recognition to our MAMT museum – Mediterranean Museum of Arts, Music and Traditions, victim of this theft. It is sad to recognize that all we afford to realize, not only thanks our personal dedication and use of personal resources, but,especially, thanks to the help and involvement of many friends from all over the World- whom wanted to share and support our Fondazione and MAMT museum, has been victim of this unreasonable event. We will keep on with new challenges: not only in solidarity field and as help towards unfair victims war but also to support initiatives aimed to valorise the Euro-Mediterranean  huge cultural, artistic and immaterial heritage which this museum will host and valorise more than ever.
