The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso (architect) visited the city of Baku during the 40th anniversary of the twin town relations between Baku and Naples.
After being welcomed by the Italian Ambassador, Mario Baldi, President Capasso took the opportunity to praise the developments made with town planning and the major public works that have reshaped the identity of the capital of Azerbaijan.

The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso was received by the President of the Republic of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic’ during his visit to Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, the President was presented with a copy of the “Totem for Peace”, made by the sculptor Mario Molinari.
On that occasion, it was decided that the monumental sculpture would be erected in Montenegro, to further strengthen the ties between the Fondazione Mediterraneo and Montenegro.
President Capasso dedicated a copy of his book “Nostro Mare Nostro”, to President Vujanovic’, which recounts the initial activities of the Fondazione Mediterraneo in favour of the Montenegrin people and other peoples of the former Yugoslavia.

The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, was recieved by the first Lady of Niger, Assafa Issoufou Mahamadou, during his visit to Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, a copy of the “Tricolour Totem for Peace” by the sculptor Mario Molinari, created for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, was presented to the Republic of Niger and President Issoufou Mahamadou.
On that occasion, the possibility of erecting the monumental sculpture in Niger was discussed, to further strengthen ties between the two countries.

The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso met with Sham Bathija, Minister of Economy and Advisor to the President of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, after studying the problems linked to the process of developing the autonomy and democratization of the country, it was agreed that the monumental Totem for Peace sculpture should be erected in Afghanistan in memory of the victims who dedicated their lives to peace.
