The Fondazione Mediterraneo, which was the first observer member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, took part in the work of - and contributed its 20 years’ experience in building peace and dialogue to - the 7^th Plenary Session of PAM. Moreover, the idea for PAM began in Naples in the headquarters of the Fondazione itself.

SENATOR AMORUSO IS ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

Senator Francesco Maria Amoruso was elected President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean for the 2012-2014 biennium.
President Capasso publicly expressed his appreciation of this illustrious position, and hoped that the cooperation between the Assembly and the Fondazione Mediterraneo would continue to prosper.

MEETING WITH JORDANIAN PRIME MINISTER FAYEZ AL-TARAWNEH

President Michele Capasso met with the Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Fayez Al-Tarawneh, with whom he analyzed the Syrian situation and Jordanian initiatives to host Syrian refugees. President Capasso delivered the Prime Minister a copy of the Appeal for Syria.
