AT THE MUSEUM OF PEACE COMMEORED THE POPE JOHN PAUL II° IN THE 99th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH.

An important day at the Museum of Peace - MAMT to remember the Pope John Paul II° on the 99th anniversary of his birth.
Many school students have retraced the main stages of Pope John Paul II° life through the emotional paths and videos kept in the Museum.
The "Federazione Anna Lindh Italia Onlus " joined the day with the participation of multiple members.

TO GIUSEPPE ANTOCI, THE MEDAL OF HONORARY CIVIL SOCIETY 2019

The "Medal of Honor Civil Society" of the MEDITERRANEAN AWARD was awarded by international juries to Giuseppe Antoci, former president of the Nebrodi Park.
The award was presented by the president of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso and by the magistrate Catello Maresca in the presence of representatives of various countries and institutions.

THE OMCOM 2019 AWARD TO FRANCESCO EMILIO BORRELLI

During the 26th Anti-Mafia Summit - organized in Naples at the headquarters of the Museum of Peace - MAMT by the Fondazione Mediterraneo, the Fondazione Caponnetto and the Mediterranean Observatory on Organized Crime and the Mafia (OMCOM) - the OMCOM AWARD 2019 was awarded to Francesco Emilio Borrelli, Regional Councilor of Campania, for his social and political commitment.

6th MEDITERRANEAN SUMMIT ON LEGALITY AND THE FIGHT TO THE MAFIA

The Museum of Peace - MAMT hosted the 6th Mediterranean Summit on legality and the fight against the mafia.
Organized by the Fondazione Mediterraneo, the Fondazione Caponnetto and the Mediterranean Observatory on Organized Crime and the Mafias, the Summit saw the participation of representatives from the world of politics, the judiciary, culture and experts on the issues of legality and the fight against the mafia .
The Summit opened the work of the 26th Anti-Mafia Summit.

I° SUMMIT "THE UNITED STATES OF EUROPE"

The Fondazione Mediterraneo and the Caponnetto Foundation organized the 1st Summit on the theme "The United States of Europe".
The event takes place on the occasion of the thirty-year anniversary of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and on the eve of the WORLD PEACE FORUM.
Among the speeches were those by Senator Lumia, Presidents Capasso and Calleri and by dr. Antoci.
On this occasion - in connection with 12 European countries - the problems concerning the United States of Europe were analyzed and a series of resolutions were proposed, essentially concerning the need to promote high education for the European ruling classes.
At the end of the Summit the participants went to the Churchill Room of the Peace Museum - MAMT where President Calleri read Zurich's speech on the need for the "United States of Europe".
President Capasso underlined the commitment of the Fondazione Mediterraneo on the same issue since 1989 and the timeliness of the manifesto presented on that occasion.
The event was held in collaboration with the "Maison des Alliances" and the "Anna Lindh Italia Onlus Federation".

ON THE SPANISH SHIP "CANTABRIA" THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 500th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST CIRCUMNAVIGATION OF THE EARTH

President Michele Capasso participated in the Commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the earth  by the Portuguese navigator Ferdinando Magellano, at the service of the Spanish Crown.
Present, among others, the Consul General of Spain in Naples José Luis Solano Gadèa.
The commemoration took place on the Spanish warship "Cantabria", with a splendid presentation by Admiral Alfonso Delgado Moreno.

The Museum of Peace - MAMT hosted the meeting with the candidates for the European elections organized by the Civic Movement "We citizens for Naples".
Speakers: Franco Roberti (PD), Aurelio Tommasetti (Lega) and Danilo Della Valle (M5S). Journalist Nunzia Marciano moderated the meeting.

Visitors from Germany and Rome visited the emotional paths of the Museum of Peace - MAMT. In particular, the section "A sea, three faiths" and "Voices of migrants" moved the visitors who declared the experience to be "Unique".
