"Trio - Story of two friends, a man and the plague in Messina" (Rizzoli) marks the return of Dacia Maraini to the historical narrative after "The long life of Marianna Ucrìa", one of the most beloved books of the writer, poet, essayist, playwright and screenwriter among the most important in Italy who chose "her" Abruzzo, that of Pescasseroli, among whose woods in the heart of the Park, the author lives for a good part of the year, for one of the first presentations (the volume was released last June): at 6 pm, in Piazza Umberto I, the writer talked about it with the journalist of the Center, Domenico Ranieri, in a dialogue with musical interludes from the accordion orchestra “La Box del Vento” directed by Alessandro Parente.
"Trio" is an epistolary novel. TEN YEARS OF THE TOTEM OF PEACE CELEBRATED IN RUTINO

The tenth anniversary of the construction of the monumental work "TOTEM OF PEACE" in Rutino was celebrated with a webinar ceremony in Naples, Marrakech and Rutino.
On 7 August 2010 the president of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, the late mayor of Rutino Michele Voria and Mrs Pia Molinari inaugurated the monumental work "Totem of Peace" by the sculptor Mario Molinari.
The work, 16 meters high and immovable, was built next to the church by choice of the then Bishop Monsignor Favale and built with the contribution of the whole town. It was the first work in the world of this size that passed the baton to all the others created. The ceremony was attended by political, cultural and religious personalities of the Euro-Mediterranean countries. Danilo Amerio with Antonio Voria performed in a concert in honor of the "Totem of Peace". On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the International Committee for the Totem of Peace decided to propose to the municipality of Rutino as owner the space where the Totem of Peace is located to the late mayor Michele Voria who was the first promoter and architect of the realization of the monumental work in Rutino.
