CASA UNIVERSALE DELLE CULTURE

The Maison de la Paix - Casa Universale delle Culture is a place strongly representative, in which will convey the knowledge of the different identities and cultures, structuring permanently initiatives aimed at the spreading of peace, necessary for the shared development.

The Maison de la Paix - Casa Universale delle Culture (MdP) is a project conceived by Michele Capasso, approved by many Countries and international organizations. It is an architecture that keeps the memory of many Peace activities which created history, often more than the wars, but it is – above all – a space "to build” Peace.

The architectonical complex has an important symbolic worth: it represents the Countries of the World engaged in the Peace process and the Countries victim of the conflicts.

Proposed by the Fondazione Mediterraneo with the Maison des Alliances – together with the main adherent organizations, such as the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, the League of Arab States, the "Anna Lindh" Euro-Mediterranean Foundation and others, the MdP represents a referent point for all the ones who dedicate their lives to peace.

The symbol of the MdP is the "Totem for Peace", an artwork by the Italian sculptor Mario Molinari which the Fondazione Mediterraneo is promoting all around the world, creating the network of the "Cities for Peace".

The first seat of the MdP was inaugurated on the 14th of June 2010 (Maison de la Paix - Casa Universale delle Culture) in the historical building of the Grand Hotel de Londres in Naples.

The action of the Maison de la Paix - Casa Universale delle Culture aims at improving the main activities of the "Universal Forum of Cultures" in: Barcelona (2004), Monterrey (2007), Valparaiso (2010) and Naples (2013).

The Maison de la Paix performs most of the initiatives jointly with the Maison de la Méditerranée.

As every year, the President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo, Prof. Michele Capasso, addressed his End of the Year Message to all the peoples, taking stock of the activities carried out: in particular those related to the project of the UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD.
In the text, President Capasso retraced the essential stages of thirty years of activity at the head of the Fondazione Mediterraneo, characterised by what seemed to be a dream: the Constitution of the UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD, proposed by the Fondazione in 1990 by an intuition of Gustavo Rol, which in this year 2021 has been implemented with the involvement of many countries: from Tunisia to Kyrgyzstan, from Morocco to the United States of America.

The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, delivered the last message of his seven-year term on the unified networks, emphasising the "super partes" role of the President of the Republic.
"He said goodbye with an anti-rhetorical speech - said President Capasso in his commentary - a hymn to duties, to respect for the rules, but also to confidence in one's own means. We are what we do and in this difficult moment in the history of mankind - concluded Capasso - it is essential to assume ethical responsibilities towards young people and the weaker sections of society".

Since March 2020, the Fondazione Mediterraneo has addressed - through seminars, webinars and international conferences - the development of the COVID 19 pandemic and its consequences for the future of humanity.
The assessments have been rigorous and validated by men and women of science from all over the world: free and unencumbered by any relationship with politics and with global companies producing vaccines or medicines related to COVID 19.
The resulting assessments, supported by logical analysis and irrefutable evidence, will be collected in a book that will be published when the pandemic is under full control.
The emergency and the discouragement palpable in these days - which should have concluded, at least in Italy, a year marked by more than 110,000,000 vaccinations - led the Foundation to organise an international seminar on this penultimate day of the year to understand exactly how things stand.
The result is the belief that the omicron variant could be a decisive step towards herd immunity and pandemic control. Many scientists, especially British ones, then argue that those vaccinated with more than two doses may risk immunodepression and consequences over time. This is borne out by a number of articles, including one in the Italian newspaper 'La Verità' published on 29 December 2021.
President Michele Capasso anticipated that high-level meetings between opposing parties would take place during 2022 to understand the various positions and arrive at the reconstruction of the scientific truth about the Covid 19 pandemic.
