The "Tricolour Totem for Peace" by Mario Molinari, created by the Fondazione Mediterraneo for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, continues its journey through Italian Embassies throughout the world. In fact, President Michele Capasso handed over a copy of Molinari’s work to the Italian Ambassador for Malta, Efisio Luigi Marras.

The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo, together with the President of the Parliamentary assembly of the Mediterranean, Senator Francesco Maria Amoruso, remembered Professor Guido De Marco, one of the founders of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and former President of the Republic of Malta.
The Speaker of the Maltese Parliament, Michael Frendo and MP George Vella spoke of this eminent statesman who was one of the architects of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.

At a ceremony that took place in Malta during the VIIth Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Michele Capasso presented the "Mediterranean Award for Peace" to the Palestinian Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Taysser Quba'a, for his long-standing commitment to promoting peace and dialogue between Israel and Palestine in PAM.

At a ceremony that took place in Malta during the VIIth Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Michele Capasso presented the "Mediterranean Award for Peace" to the Israeli Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean(PAM), Majallie Whbee, for his long-standing commitment to promoting peace and dialogue between Israel and Palestine in PAM.

The Fondazione Mediterraneo, which was the first observer member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, took part in the work of - and contributed its 20 years’ experience in building peace and dialogue to - the 7th Plenary Session of PAM. Moreover, the idea for PAM began in Naples in the headquarters of the Fondazione itself.
