Pope Francis met Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in the Vatican today.
Together they stressed the importance of building bridges of understanding between religions, cultures and peoples.
Al Suwaidi praised the role played by Pope Francis in supporting world peace and offered him a copy of the volume' Mirage'.
President Capasso congratulated his brotherly friend Jamal, emphasizing the role and collaboration between the Fondazione Mediterraneo and ECSSR.

Among the sections of the Peace Museum dedicated to the "Great protagonists of History", a special place is occupied by Antonio de Curtis, in art Totò.
The spaces dedicated to him are titled "ANTONIO DE CURTIS PRINCIPE POETA" and tell the human aspect of the great actor.
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the great Antonio de Curtis, in art Totò, which took place on 15 April 1967, and as part of the celebrations that will be held in his memory in the city of Naples - such as the exhibition "Totò Genio" (intended by the Association Antonio de Curtis, promoted and co-organized by the Municipality of Naples in collaboration with the country's major cultural institutions, the Istituto Luce, the Polo Museale della Campania – Palazzo Reale, RAI, La SIAE - the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, with the contribution of Rai Teche and the Central State Archives) - the Museum of Peace - MAMT dedicates almost all its spaces and multimedia system with 107 videowalls to the great Antonio de Curtis, the Prince and the Poet.
A tribute due to one of the most important and illustrious Neapolitans.

On the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the G7, the International Dialogue Forum"Starting from girls" was held at the Farnesina on 7 and 8 April 2017. Women Forum on inequality and sustainable growth", organised in collaboration with WE-Women Empower the World, the Aspen Initiative for Europe and Valore D.
Strengthening the rights and skills of young women is an indispensable condition for making them agents of change. Overcoming the gender gap is essential to ensure inclusive growth and development processes, in line with the priorities of our Presidency of the G7,"said Angelino Alfano, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Forum is based on the conviction that strengthening the rights and skills of young women is an indispensable condition for making them potential agents of change: the Forum aims to build an international alliance on women's empowerment, as an indispensable part of a more equitable and sustainable growth. A series of proposals for the G7 will be discussed, aimed at strengthening women's contribution to economic growth, their participation in the labour market, technological development and sustainability. Specific attention will also be paid to migration issues - "women on the move" - and to the evolution of the global care chain, with its implications for health and health systems.
