MEETING OF THE "COMITÉ DE PILOTAGE" OF THE ITALIAN NETWORK ALF

The Comité de Pilotage of the Italian Network ALF met in Naples with the task of preparing the work of the General Assembly and capacity development activities, scheduled in Naples from 9 to 11 November 2016.
All 9 members were selected, selected with a special call.

MEETING WITH THE SECRETARY GENERAL UpM FATALLAH SIJILMASSI

During a cordial meeting with Fatallah Sijilmassi, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UPM), President Capasso invited the SG to join the Fondazione Mediterraneo and the Peace Museum – MAMT to spread the indispensable message of "positivity" through the promotion of "what unites us" as opposed to "what divides us".
SG Sijilmassi recalled the visit to the Peace Museum - MAMT and assured the full membership of the UMM.
13th MEETING OF MINISTERS OF WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (5 + 5)

This meeting was set up in Rome in 1990 after a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Western Mediterranean countries with the aim of establishing a regional cooperation process in the Western Mediterranean.
After many years of interruption this initiative has been relaunched in 2001.
Regional crises and the fight against terrorism and radicalization - as well as actions for youth employment, mobility and migrants - are at the center of the 13th meeting in Marseilles.
On this occasion, a delegation of MED FORUM participants from Malta presented a recommendation on young people and intercultural cities.
For Italy, the leader of the Italian network ALF Michele Capasso and Enrica Miceli took part.
President Michele Capasso had a cordial interview with French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayraultcon, who - when he was the mayor of Nantes - has been carrying out initiatives for the Mediterranean and the youth together with the Fondazione Mediterraneo.
Minister Ayrault shared the recommendation of President Capasso on the need to facilitate cultural mobility for young people in the Mediterranean and reiterated his personal commitment to the Press Conference.
PRESENTATION OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE MED FORUM OF MALTA TO THE MINISTERS OF THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN (5+5)

At the initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting of young people and civil society was held in Marseille - in parallel with the 13th 5 + 5 meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs - with the participation of the leaders of the Anna Lindh Foundation Networks of their respective countries 5 + 5) in order to discuss and present the recommendations of the MED FORUM of Malta to Ministers.
For Italy, the leader Michele Capasso and Enrica Miceli participated.

President Michele Capasso - on the sidelines of the meeting of the Western Mediterranean Foreign Ministers (5 + 5) - had an affectionate meeting with the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (former President of the PACA Region), Michel Vauzelle. is a friendship and a sharing for nearly 30 years.
President Capasso hoped that the proposal of Mrs Capasso would be acceptable. It is dangerous to place the APM headquarters at "Villa Méditerranée" in Marseille.
VISIT TO MUCEM

President Michele Capasso visited the Musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée (MuCEM), hosted by Director Jean-François Chougnet.
During the visit, present the Under Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs of Portugal on. Margarida Marques, the various collections have been illustrated. Of particular interest is the exhibition dedicated to Albania.
A synergy between MAMT and MUCEM was discussed during an interview.

President Michele Capasso, welcomed by the director of the Musée des civilizations de l'europe et de la Méditerranée (MuCEM) M. Jean-François Chougnet, visited the "Café in". During an interview a synergy was envisaged between the MAMT and the (MUCEM).
XVa MEETING OF NATIONAL LEADER NETWORK ALF

It was held in Malta on 26 October 2016, the XVa Meeting of Heads of National Networks ALF.
For the Mediterranean Foundation, leader of the Italian Network, was attended by the President Michele Capasso.
On this occasion were discussed:
- Results and recommendations of MED FORUM in Malta (23-25.10.2016)
- Proposals for the 5 + 5 meeting in Marseille (28.10.2016)
- Priorities to be put in place, given the ALF economic crisis and the failure to realize much of the existing programs.
- New ALF Stage Goals and Strategies with Networks.
- Network Development
The meeting was preceded by a meeting with President Guigou (23.10.2016) and an informal meeting of the leaders who expressed difficulties in continuing to operate without a strategy and, often, without listening and participation of the Secretariat.
Among the priorities of the MED FORUM of Malta, the theme of "Intercultural cities" has been identified, proposing to put under this "hat" the other themes related to young people, education, migrants, etc.
