Totem for Peace

The "Totem for Peace" is a trademark duly filed in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, any initiatives undertaken by third parties using that trademark or the word "Totem for Peace" in any context and for whatever purpose, it integrates to all intents and purposes the case of trademark infringement.

The "Totem of Peace", the work of the Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, is the symbol of the "United States of the World" and represents the Peace: it was chosen in 1997 by 3,000 representatives of 181 countries and since then the "United States of the World" with the "Fondazione Mediterraneo" are spreading this universal symbol by setting up the network of "Cities for Peace".
The sculptor Mario Molinari was an artist of clear fame, sensitive to the themes of peace and dialogue between cultures, as evidenced by his numerous works and his life.
The cultural project of the "Totem of Peace" is carried out in the world by Michele Capasso: dedicated, since 1987, to the construction of dialogue as a tool for the mediation of conflicts, he combines his international experience of social and intercultural planning and planning with the professional one of architect and engineer.
Many countries have created the monumental work symbolising peace and coexistence between different peoples. Among the main ones are:

The President of the Abdulaziz Al Saud-Babtain Foundation, the poet Abdulaziz Al-Saud Babtain, appreciated, during his visit to the Museum of Peace - MAMT, the works of sculptor Mario Molinari and, in particular, the Totem of Peace.
On this occasion, Al-Babtain - after having heartily thanked Pia and Jacopo Molinari expressed the hope that the work could be done soon in Kuwait and in other parts of the world.
The visit included - among others - Kuwait National Vice President Mubarak Al-Khurainej, Kuwait Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Former Information Minister Sami Al- nisf as well as other guests including former Jordanian Prime Minister Taher Al-Masri, former Moroccan finance minister Mohamed Kabbaj, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, Dr. Abdelhak Azzouzi and diplomat Abdulwahab Al-Babtain.
The delegation was immediately received at Palazzo San Giacomo by the Mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris.

The Fondazione Mediterraneo celebrated the "Second Day of Memory and Reception" dedicated to the memory of dead migrants at sea in Lampedusa on October 3, 2013.

The Saudi prince Turki al Faisal al Saud, former chief of Riad intelligence and president of King Faisal Center Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) – one of the most important world personalities come to Naples and paid homage to the ‘Totem of Peace’ with the urn of “Unknown Migrant” made by the sculptor Mario Molinari and in which are collected the remains of migrants coming Lampedusa. The artwork - installed in the square of “Coast Guard”, in front of the Maritime Station of the Port of Naples – has been gifted by Fondazione Mediterraneo to the “Port Captaincy – Coast Guard” in occasion of the 150 anniversary of their establishment, as a homage to all the men and women of Coast Guard daily involved in the rescue of lives in the sea.

On this occasion, the titles of "Standard Bearers United States of the World" were awarded.
The Prince Turki al Faisal al Saud put in the urn a message of solidarity to migrants.

The “Totem of Peace” in the Farnesina is the first to be realized and inaugurated in 2010 at the presence of exponents coming all over the world.
