Totem for Peace

The "Totem for Peace" is a trademark duly filed in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, any initiatives undertaken by third parties using that trademark or the word "Totem for Peace" in any context and for whatever purpose, it integrates to all intents and purposes the case of trademark infringement.

The "Totem of Peace", the work of the Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, is the symbol of the "United States of the World" and represents the Peace: it was chosen in 1997 by 3,000 representatives of 181 countries and since then the "United States of the World" with the "Fondazione Mediterraneo" are spreading this universal symbol by setting up the network of "Cities for Peace".
The sculptor Mario Molinari was an artist of clear fame, sensitive to the themes of peace and dialogue between cultures, as evidenced by his numerous works and his life.
The cultural project of the "Totem of Peace" is carried out in the world by Michele Capasso: dedicated, since 1987, to the construction of dialogue as a tool for the mediation of conflicts, he combines his international experience of social and intercultural planning and planning with the professional one of architect and engineer.
Many countries have created the monumental work symbolising peace and coexistence between different peoples. Among the main ones are:

   

The sail that symbolizes the journey, the sea. A ceremony was held in Oulx to affix the plaque to the work by sculptor Mario Molinari entitled 'Equilateral', dedicated to blood donors.
Present were the mayors of Oulx, Sauze d'Oulx, Cesana Torinese and other municipalities, as well as the AIDO (Blood Donor Associations) delegations from Bardonecchia, Susa and other valley municipalities.
Professor Evelina Bertero, former mayor of Oulx, coordinated the event.

General Ignazio Gibilaro, Inter-Regional Commander of Southern Italy of the Guardia di Finanza, received a sample of the "Tricolored Totem for Peace" created on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy.
The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Interregional Command in Naples in the presence of the President of the Fondazione Mediterrano Michele Capasso and the Director of the Museum of Peace - MAMT Pia Molinari.

Don Luigi Ciotti spoke in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio at the day "Love is not enough...Choose to be" organised by the Liceo scientifico Salvatore Di Giacomo in the presence of Mayor Panico, the school headmaster Pandolfi and a large number of students fascinated by his words on the themes of legality and the fight against mafias.
Don Luigi Ciotti in 2019 - during a ceremony at the Prefecture of Chieti - received on behalf of "Libera" the "RAFFAELE CAPASSO" MEDITERRANEAN PRIZE FOR LEGALITY.
And today it is in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, where Raffale Capasso was Mayor of Reconstruction for 40 years in the name of legality and the fight against the Camorra and the Mafia.
The Totem for Peace in front of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Town Hall was made by Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, a friend of Don Luigi Ciotti.

The Prefect of Naples Claudio Palomba - during a visit to the seat of the Fondazione Mediterraneo - received a copy of the "Tricolour Totem for Peace", created on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy and representing the monumental work of the sculptor Mario Molinari created in Turin for that occasion.
It was presented to the Prefect by Pia Molinari and Michele Capasso, President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo.
On this occasion, Prefect Palomba recalled his presence as Prefect of Turin from 2018 to 2021 and the importance of the Piedmontese capital in the history of Italy.

The Tunisian Ambassador to Italy, Moez Sinaoui, the Tunisian Minister Mohamed-El Aziz Ben Achour - former Director General of ALECSO - Dr Malte Gaier - the Tunisian representative of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung - the officers of the Naples Coast Guard and other representatives of various countries gathered in Naples by the Fondazione Mediterraneo paid tribute to the TOTEM OF PEACE by the sculptor Mario Molinari with the urn of the Unknown Migrant.
Welcomed by President Michele Capasso and the Director of the Museum of Peace - MAMT, Pia Molinari, the participants placed an olive branch in front of the urn.
President Capasso, moved, retraced the main stages of the monumental work: from the visit of Pope Francis in March 2015 to those of Heads of State and representatives of various countries.
The Tunisian Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the work carried out by the Fondazione Mediterraneo and for the sensitivity with which it has raised the issue of migration by honouring the many Tunisian migrants who have died at sea.
