Women Actress of Dialogue

The Joint Action KĪMIYYA: Women Actress of Dialogue”, conceived and organized by the Fondazione Mediterraneo and 12 Anna Lindh Foundation National Networks adhere to it: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Mauretania, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovenia and Tunisia.
The action aims to gather and deepen the work done so far by formulating concrete recommendations and operational guidelines
Women are the main “promoters” of connections between civil societies: by supporting their training, education and access to new tools and modern digital technologies, it will be possible to facilitate the intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Med region, reduce migration and address the causes of conflict.
The name KĪMIYYA has been chosen because in the ancient languages of Mediterranean culture (Aramaic, Arab, Greek and other languages), it means “to embrace”, “melt”, “put together”, “meet”, “share” and “mix”.

 

Charles-Ferdinand Notomb, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, signed the KIMIYYA poster on women's rights with his wife Michelle.

The Fondazione Mediterraneo and the Museum of Peace - MAMT welcomed - within the framework of a partnership - the participants in the project "Bridge over opened minds (Boom)" coordinated by the State Comprehensive Institute "Adelaide Ristori" of Naples within the Erasmus + program.
The teachers, belonging to schools in Italy, Romania, Croatia and Poland, were welcomed by President Michele Capasso, who handed a copy of the "Totem of  Peace" by the sculptor Mario Molinari to the Immacolata Iadicicco head teacher.

Also in Space comes the message of the women of KIMIYYA for the defense of rights and the promotion of gender equality and social justice.
The Minister of Culture of Asgardia, Olimpia Niglio, visits the Fondazione Mediterraneo, signs the KIMIYYA Manifesto and hopes that this message can be spread to all the women of Asgardia, the realm of space established in 2013 by UNESCO and other bodies.
