| Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director General, accompanied by her husband Kalin Mitrev, visited the Headquarters of the Fondazione Mediterraneo-Maison de la Paix where they were welcomed by Michele Capasso, Board Members Pia Molinari and Vittorio di Pace and other members of the Fondazione.
During her visit, the Director General expressed her appreciation for the twenty-year commitment of the Fondazione, especially through its cooperation with UNESCO. President Capasso illustrated the main activities, speaking in particular of the UNESCO Chair in Mediterranean Studies, which has been at the Marrakesh Headquarters of the Fondazione Mediterraneo since 1998. |
