FEDERATION ANNA LINDH ITALIA - ONLUS

 

The Federazione Anna Lindh Italia, not-for-profit, shares the aims of the Anna Lindh Foundation: created in 2004 by the European Commission together with the 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The Federation's objective is to promote, support and implement the cultural and social interaction between Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean countries in various fields of action including: art, architecture, archaeology, environment, crafts, youth, women, human rights, migrants, crafts, employment, training, education, education, childhood, sports, interreligious dialogue, legality, music, food culture, empowerment, tradition, tourism, social solidarity, exchanges.
In particular, the Federation intends to implement initiatives in favour of young people, especially aimed at restoring their hope and confidence through the promotion of the "true",the "beautiful" and the "good”

The Coordination Meeting of the Italian Network of "Anna Lindh" Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures of Regione Sicilia was held in Palermo. On that occasion – in the presence of Piera Raimondi, assistant of the president of Fondazione Mediterraneo, Head of the Italian Network – it was submitted and discussed the report "Euromed Intercultural Trends 2010"; members were required to confirm their participation in the ALF Italian Network; the common programme 2010-2011 "Meeting Minorities" was illustrated.

CE.S.I.E., Narramondi Onlus Association, COPPEM, HRYO Association and the Centro Creativo Danilo Dolci declared their availability to create a consortium to carry out some of the actions laid down in the "Meeting Minorities" Programme.

The"Anna Lindh" Euromediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures,  whose Central Office is in Alexandria, expresses its deep sorrow for the terrorist attack  made against this city in the night of December 31st, and also expresses  the solidarity of its  President, André Azoulay, and of all his staff with the victims, their families and the Egyptian people.

On that occasion – in the presence of Michele Capasso, president of Fondazione Mediterraneo, Head of the Italian Network – it was submitted and discussed the report "Euromed Intercultural Trends 2010"; members were required to confirm their participation in the ALF Italian Network; the common programme 2010-2011 "Meeting Minorities" was illustrated.

The Province of Ancona, the Associazione Orlando from Bologna and "Dama Sognatrice s.n.c." from Ravenna declared their availability to create a consortium to carry out some of the actions laid down in the "Meeting Minorities" Programme.

Development No Borders is the winner of Euro-Med Award 2010.
Award Ceremony took place in Cracow on 22 october 2011 in Municipality Building at the presence of Ambassadors from 43 Countries joining Union For Mediterranean and members from Anna Lindh Foundation Board of Governor. 
Joined to the ceremony Andreu Claret, Anna Lindh Foundation Director, Michele Capasso, Fondazione Mediterraneo’s President, Pia Molinari – member of Fondazione Mediterraneo and responsable for the project “Totem for Peace” – and exponents of European Commission, European Parliament and members of Polish Alf Network.

Joined as spokepeople of round table “Culture for Social Change”: Raj Isar, Grzegorz Klaman, Mohamed El Sawy, Monika Smolen.
Joined coordinators from 43 National Networks of Anna Lindh Foundation.
Euromed Award this year has as theme “For Citizenship and Freedom” and has been assigned to Amr Shaaban, Development No borders’s Chairman whom thanked and presented association’s aims.
On this occasion, the titles of "Standard Bearers United States of the World" were conferred on young and female environmentalists from Arab countries.
