FEDERATION ANNA LINDH ITALIA - ONLUS

 

The Federazione Anna Lindh Italia, not-for-profit, shares the aims of the Anna Lindh Foundation: created in 2004 by the European Commission together with the 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The Federation's objective is to promote, support and implement the cultural and social interaction between Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean countries in various fields of action including: art, architecture, archaeology, environment, crafts, youth, women, human rights, migrants, crafts, employment, training, education, education, childhood, sports, interreligious dialogue, legality, music, food culture, empowerment, tradition, tourism, social solidarity, exchanges.
In particular, the Federation intends to implement initiatives in favour of young people, especially aimed at restoring their hope and confidence through the promotion of the "true",the "beautiful" and the "good”

The Steering Committee of the Italian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation met in Rome.
The aim of the meeting was to relaunch the Italian Network and coordinate is main activities.
The participants unanimously laid down the operative guidelines and shared the tasks among the four coordinators.

La Rete Italiana della Fondazione Anna Lindh ha adottato una nuova struttura “Capofila”, formata da quattro istituzioni che si suddividono le responsabilità e i compiti e che rappresentatno il Nord-Ovest, il Nord-Est, il Centro e il Sud del Paese.
La nuova struttura “Capofila” opererà per un periodo pilota di 18 mesi con l’obiettivo di migliorare la Rete, riformare  le sue regole di “governance” e costituire la Rete come organismo – associazione secondo la legge italiana.

The 2011 edition of MeYouMe took place in Cosenza bringing together 200 youths from 18 different Countries. On this occasion, the MANY Network was launched – “Mediterranean Autonomous Network for Youth”.
The Fondazione Mediterraneo has supported this initiative through its programme of activities at the Mediterranean  youth centre.
It was a good example of synergy between the Italian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation and its “Youth Network Minister of Labour”, who contributed to the success of the initiative.
President Capasso participated in the work reiterating the values and activities carried out by the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Italian Network (Rete Italiana). The Ministry of Labour promoted this initiative through an advertising campaign on major TV channels.

MeYouMe is all about meeting – an adventure on a return voyage – between  an I and a YOU, between ME and YOU! 
It is where the green of the earth meets the blue of the sea.
The sea is the Mediterranean: a crossroads for people, travel, economic exchange and cultural interaction. The earth is made of peoples, faces and the stories narrating the history of this sea, a sea they traverse and inhabit.

The Meeting of the Regional Coordinators of the Italian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation took place in Rome.
Its aim was to relaunch the Italian Network as a result of the conclusions of the guidelines issued by the 10th Meeting of the Heads of National Networks, which took place in Krakow from 20-23rd October 2011.
The participants unanimously adopted a new system of Governance for the Italian Network, introducing a Steering Committee that comprises seven members with decision-making powers, to work alongside the National Head.
It was also decided to transform the Regional Committees into “Regional Antennas”.

The leader of Italian Network ALF Michele Capasso and coordinator of Sicily Vito La Fata had a meeting with head office of IOM (International Organization for Migration) Peter Shatzer in order to illustrate the project “Nostro Mare Nostro” proposed in 10° meeting of Leaders in Cracow held between 20-23 october 2011, of agreement of Algeria, Tunis, Morocco, France and  Lybia.

Doctor Shatzer expressed his consensus to the initiative which involves Lampedusa Municipality and other.
