The XVI edition of Napoli Film Festival will be helded between  29 september – 8 october) hosting documentaries from Alto Fest under the dominion of Film in Residency project and the supervision of Giuseppe Colella, coordinator of Schermo Napoli. Alto Fest is, according to its creators «an international festival of performing arts and multidisciplinary event born on July 2011», realized «thanks to the support and cooperation of neapolitan citizens whom gave hospitality in their houses or other private spaces (shops, storehouses, canteens, gymnasiums to several artist coming from all over the world».
Fondazione Mediterraneo supports the Festival since its first year of screenings.

Ready for the fifteenth edition of the Naples Film Festival, which this year takes place in the stunning location of Castel Sant’Elmo.

Also this year the Fondazione Mediterraneo is a partner of the event Neapolitan, which is now part of the European festival circuit independent of greater thickness.

At the Trieste Film Festival, with whom the Fondazione Mediterraneo has been collaborating since1995, the 2013 Mediterranean Cinema Award for the best short film was awarded to  “Deda” (Waiting for Mum)  by  Nana  Ekvtimishvili. The film focuses on a man’s voice calling his mother and was awarded by a jury of young people.

With approximately 200 titles, many of which were shown as international and national previews, the Trieste Film Festival has come to be known as the key event for central-east European cinema. Films compete in the full length feature films, short films and documentaries categories, but the festival also includes retrospectives and tributes and it is now a major venue for film lovers who consider it the show case for “New Europe” cinematography.

The Fondazione Mediterraneo has been collaborating with the Trieste Film Festival since1995, where it awards the Mediterranean Cinema Award  to the best short film competing.

The 4th edition of LAMPEDUSA in FESTIVAL, the event that for the second year in a row has had the privilege of receiving the medal of honor from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano as a representation prize and that has been selected by the UNAR (National Anti-Discrimination Office for Racial Discrimination) as a good practice against racism, has recorded an important participation in terms of spectators, witnessing a strong focus on the proposed events, which has brought on the island, as well as journalists and experts in the field, a different type of tourist: international and attentive to social and cultural issues.
The event was supported by the Italian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation for dialogue between cultures, as part of the "Joint Action"..
