The "United States of the World" organized and participated in various cities in the "World Day of the Poor", which Pope Francis dedicated this year to the theme "Jesus Christ made himself poor for you" (see 2 Cor 8:9) , title of the Message released on June 14, 2022.
“Pope Bergoglio - stated the SG Michele Capasso - starting from the tragic actuality of the conflict in Ukraine, from the senselessness of the war (many times defined by him as "madness"), identifies three paths for living responsible solidarity.
The first is to reject any form of "slackness that leads to inconsistent behavior" and says that this "is a theme that often recurs in the Pope's magisterium because it is a cultural condition that is the result of an exasperated secularism that confines people to inside a Chinese wall with no sense of social responsibility, with the illusion of living a happy but in fact ephemeral and groundless existence".
The second path is that of assuming solidarity as a form of social and Christian commitment. Pope Francis says: "Solidarity is precisely this: sharing the little we have with those who have nothing, so that no one suffers. The more the sense of community and communion as a lifestyle grows, the more solidarity develops…". Many countries in recent decades, says the prelate, have made progress thanks to family policies and social projects, so the time has come to share this "patrimony of security and stability", so that no one finds themselves in poverty. Central to this spirit of sharing is the value given to money and the intended use of it.
The third step is the proposal contained in the title of this VI World Day of the Poor. It is taken from Paul's second letter to the Christians of Corinth: "Jesus Christ made himself poor for you". The context of the Apostle's Letter is that of raising funds to support the poor of the Jerusalem community. Yesterday as today it is important to give continuity to generosity. "Solidarity, in fact, is precisely this - continues Pope Francis in the message - sharing the little we have with those who have nothing, so that no one suffers. The more the sense of community and communion as a lifestyle grows, the more solidarity develops […]. As members of civil society, we keep alive the call to the values of freedom, responsibility, brotherhood and solidarity".

The "United States of the World" find in their "Constitution" in charity, faith and hope the foundation of being and acting of all the inhabitants with the motto "LAND AND PEACE".
