THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD
The MEDITERRANEAN FOUNDATION, since its creation in 1990 immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall, has taken as one of its main objectives the establishment of the "UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD": from an intuition of Gustavo Rol.
The activities carried out over the last three decades by the Foundation - particularly in the area of the "Greater Mediterranean" - bear witness to a constant and concrete action that, precisely in these difficult times of war and pandemic, is an anchor of salvation to strengthen the spirit of peace and cooperation between peoples.
The adhesions of men and women, organisations and institutions from various countries contribute to supporting the institutional initiative by pursuing concrete objectives and effective means for the defence of the planet, respect for the fundamental rights of the human person, the coexistence of philosophies, faiths and religions, the fair distribution of goods and resources, the union of science and politics for the salvation of humanity and against all wars.

Since its creation in 1990, immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the MEDITERRANEAN FOUNDATION has had as one of its objectives the establishment of the "UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD", born from an intuition of Gustavo Rol.
Consistent with the activities carried out in the last three decades - in particular in the area of the "Greater Mediterranean" - the FOUNDATION, precisely in this difficult moment and in order to strengthen the spirit of peace and cooperation among peoples in respect of the fundamental rights expressed in the UN Charter, has issued the "APPEL FOR THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD" with the aim of bringing together men and women, organisms and institutions from various countries to identify viable objectives and effective means for the defence of the planet, respect for the fundamental rights of the human person, the coexistence of philosophies, faiths and religions, the fair distribution of goods and resources, the union of science and politics for the salvation of humanity.

The three-decade history of the FONDAZIONE MEDITERRANEO (FM) seen through the eyes of its members, leaders and the outside world is proof of an intuition born when few people spoke of "Mediterranean" or were interested in the complex issues of the region.
While many global institutions are noteworthy for the amount of nations or powerful political leaders attending their meetings, all FM activities and initiatives in the Euro-Mediterranean region and other parts of the world stand out for the active participation of representatives of governments, international organizations and civil society.
The Euromed Civil Forums organized by the FM over years, have involved thousands of experts, all working together in a collaborative and collective spirit: the “SPIRIT OF NAPLES”.
The FM was conceived in 1989 as a non-profit organization and has its headquarters in Naples and offices in the Mediterranean countries.
The WPF integrate itself into this track. In the last thirty years it stood out for the concreteness of the actions carried out, the passion and the competence to support especially the young in order to strengthen a healthy planning in them and make them "producers of the thirty years future " at the service of young people and PEACE.
The United States of the World fits into this 30-year track in the service of peace.
