The President of the Republic Sandro Pertini - among the most beloved of the Italians - lives again at the Museum of Peace - MAMT in an emotional thrush dedicated to him and to Judge Antonino Caponnetto: both advocates of social justice as a premise of democracy and freedom. This was announced by the president of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, intervening at the "XXII National Antimafia Summit": present the Vice-President of the “Pertini Foundation”, Mr. Petro Pierri, who thanked on behalf of the President Umberto Voltolina.

ASSEGNED THE MEDITERRANEAN AWARD “MEDAL OF HONOR FOR INFORMATION 2016”

It was attributed to the journalist Madeleine Rossi the Mediterranean Award  "Medal of Honor for information 2016".
The award was delivered during the ceremony of President  Michele Capasso and the president of the Senate Pietro Grasso, present the journalist Paolo Borrometi.
"A beautiful passage of witness-said Capasso - because both Pietro Grasso and Paolo Borrometi were both assignees of the" Mediterranean Award” in the Editions 2013 and 2014.

THE AMBASSADOR LEONE VISIT MUSEUM OF PEACE AND THE MAISON DES ALLIANCES

The Ambassador of the order of Malta in France and to UNESCO, Ugo Leone, visited the Museum of Peace – MAMT and the Maison des Alliances expressing great appreciation for the initiative and for the section dedicated to UNESCO World Heritage sites.
"It's a place that deserves the trip," he said.
Present at the meeting  the Prof. Maurizio Iaccarino – former deputy Director general of UNESCO – and the Prof. Massimo Pica Ciamarra.

PRESENTATION OF IMAP PROJECT AND ROUND TABLE

The project "IMAP - MAPPATURA DELLA CITTÀ" was organized at the premises of the Fondazione Mediterraneo - in connection with Palermo - with the co-financing of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The leader of the action is the CEIPES of Palermo and among the partners are the association Grammelot, Informagiovani, Comeunamarea and Fondazione Mediterraneo.
On this occasion, the round table on "Intercultural Naples at Map" was held.
The City of Palermo is present at the initiative: the Councilor for Social Citizenship Agnese Ciulla and the Councilor for Participation and Migration Giusto Catania spoke about active collaboration between the political world and the territorial reality, the welcome and the enhancement of multiculturalism.
The local IMAP partners: Palermo, Uniamoci Onlus, InformaGiovani and EURO G. participated in Palermo.
The program of the day was developed at the round table, in the visit to the Museum of Peace - MAMT, in the ethnic breakfast at the Pizzeria del Museo, in the "Da Tina" (Spanish Quarter), in the "Migrantour" (Piazza Mercato) and in the artistic event at the didon Calabria (Via S.Maria Avvocata in Forio).

ETHNIC CUISINE AT THE MUSEUM OF PEACE – MAMT

The "Tobili" cooperative (which in the Mali language means "eating") delighted visitors to the Museum of Peace - MAMT during the presentation of the IMAP project.
Specialties of Mali, Ethiopia, Turkey and Armenia have been masterfully prepared by cooperative members.
