This year, as every year, the Jury of the "Mare Nostrum Grimaldi Award ", presided over by  Folco Quilici met at the "Maison des Alliances". The winners of this section were: Domenico Barbati, Giovanni Russo, Spyridon Russos, Carlos Solito and  Riida Maamri.

UNESCO DIRECTOR GENERAL IRINA BOKOVA VISITS THE MAISON DES ALLIANCES

Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director General, accompanied by her husband Kalin Mitrev, visited the “Maison des Alliances” where they were welcomed by Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari. On that occasion, she expressed her appreciation for the “magical” places that has been host to Heads of State, Nobel Prize Winners and other high profile dignitaries, as well as its “enormous passion” for promoting dialogue and peace throughout the Mediterranean and the world.

THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ARAB MAGHREB UNION BEN YAHIA VISITS THE MAISON DES ALLIANCES

Habib Ben Yahia, Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union and one of the most renowned Maghreb Politicians was a guest at the “Maison des Alliances”.  In a press statement released at the conclusion of his visit, he expressed his appreciation for the uniqueness of the Maison stating that it was a, “unique place for the creation of dialogue and peace and to confront the challenges of today’s problems in a calm and profound manner. It is a unique environment for leaders and decision-makers”.

THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF ISESCO MOHAMED-EL AZIZ BEN ACHOUR VISITS THE MAISON DES ALLIANCES

Mohamed-El Aziz Ben Achour, Director General of ALECSO (the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) was a guest at the “Maison des Alliances”. In a press statement released at the conclusion of his visit, he expressed his appreciation for the Maison stating that it was a “special place in which to meet and create culture, as well as a place for dialogue that has produced and will continue to produce exceptional results for the Mediterranean and the world”.
