In only five weeks, despite of the technical difficulties and the bad weather, the work of the Totem for Peace by the sculptor Mario Molinari was completed.

The President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso, on the occasion of the awarding ceremony for the “Mediterranean Award- Honour Medal" to the Albanian President Jozefina Topalli, suggested that the Mayor of Capri Ciro Lembo located the Totem for Peace by the sculptor Mario Molinari in a remarkable place in the town.
In the next days, the local administration will assess the suggestion.
Thanks to the cooperation of all the citizens from Rutino, we are building the Totem for Peace: 16 metres high, besides the base, it will be the element of distinction for the whole town and for all those who “welcome Peace”.
Michele Capasso, President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo visited Positano after 30 years (he is among the authors of the Hotel San Pietro in Positano) and promoted the project of the Totem for Peace, by the sculptor artist Mario Molinari, to be implemented all over the world.
